இந்திய மகளிர் அணி தங்களது முதல் உலகக் கோப்பையை வென்றுள்ள சூழலில் சச்சின் டெண்டுல்கர் முதல் விராட் கோலி வரை கிரிக்கெட் லெஜண்ட்ஸ் தங்கள் பெருமிதத்தையும் பூரிப்பையும் வெளிப்படுத்தியுள்ளனர்.

நேற்று (நவம்பர் 2) நவி மும்பையில் நடைபெற்ற போட்டியில் 52 ரன்கள் வித்தியாசத்தில் தென்னாப்பிரிக்கா அணியை வென்றது இந்திய அணி. இந்திய ஆல் ரவுண்டர்கள் ஷெஃபாலி வெர்மா மற்றும் தீப்தி சர்மா சிறப்பான ஆட்டத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தியிருந்தனர். இதனால் ஆஸ்திரேலியா (7), இங்கிலாந்து (4), நியூசிலாந்தைத் (1) தொடர்ந்து உலகக் கோப்பை வெல்லும் நான்காவது அணியாக உருவாகியிருக்கிறது.

இந்திய மகளிர் அணிக்கு அதன் 1983 தருணம் வந்துவிட்டதாகப் பலரும் பூரிப்படைந்துள்ளனர். இரண்டு உலகக் கோப்பைகளை வென்ற இந்திய பேட்ஸ்மேன் விராட் கோலி சமூக வலைதளங்களில் தனது வாழ்த்துகளைப் பதிவு செய்தார்.
